Daily Prayer March 12

Antiphon (mantra) repeat quietly:
Your ways, O God, are holy. All shall see and acclaim your glory.

Psalm 55 Part I
O God, listen to my prayer;
do not turn away.
Be attentive to me,
for, with my cares, I cannot rest.

I tremble at the shouts of the foe,
at the jeers of the wicked.
With insults they tear me down;
in anger they threaten me.

My heart is troubled;
I am seized by the fear of death.
Trembling and horror overwhelm me.

O that I had wings like a dove
to fly away and be at rest.
I would escape far away,
take refuge in the desert.

I would hasten to find a shelter
from the raging storm¬ —
a place of refuge from my foes.

For I can see nothing but violence
and strife in the city.
Night and day they prowl about the city walls.
Wickedness and evil are within.
The streets are never free
from tyranny and deceit.

Pray the Prayer of Jesus (Our Father)
