Antiphon (mantra) repeat quietly:
I will sing a new song to God, to the Giver of Life a hymn of praise.
Blest are you, O God.
You are my love, my refuge,
you fill me with strength,
strength to overcome all evil.
Who are we that you care for us,
that you keep us in mind?
We are like a breath;
our days fade like passing shadows.
Lower the heavens and touch the mountains;
wreathe them in smoke.
With lightning flashes scatter the enemy.
Draw me from the watery depths;
save me from the hands of my foes.
Their mouths are filled with false promises;
their hands are raised in perjury.
To you, O God, I will sing a new song;
on the ten-stringed lute I will play.
You set me free from evil;
you rescued me from my foes.
Let our children flourish like saplings,
grow tall and strong from their youth.
May they be graceful as columns
that stand as the pillars of our temple.
Let our barns be filled to overflowing
with crops of every kind;
may our sheep increase by the thousands,
myriads of sheep in our fields;
may our cattle be heavy with young.
Let there be no exile,
no sound of weeping in our streets.
Happy the people with such blessings;
happy are all who put their trust in you.
Pray the Prayer of Jesus (Our Father)
