Celebrate the 52nd Earth Day in Erie at Perry Square and "Invest in our Planet"! Sponsors for Earth Day events on Saturday, April 23 from Noon - 2:00 p.m. include Erie Benedictines for Peace and the Inner-city Neighborhood Art House. Children and youth will speak about climate needs. Local officials will be given certificates and "asks." Children will present state and national political representatives with their League of Conservation Voters report cards, an electric car will power the sound system, and much more.
