Eileen Melia's donation of quilting fabrics to St. Benedict Education Center's The Mending Place comes will a long history of connection and commitment to peace and justice. Eileen calls her quilting a "form of contemplation" and "sewn prayer." She is the founder of Affirmation Quilt Ministry in Arlington, VA and her donation has enabled Mending Place eamstresses Cynthia and Damanta, with their community service participants, to use the fabric in ways that will enrich the lives of others – and invite peace.
