Oblate Profile

Lives in Buffalo
Tell us something about yourself

I was born and raised in Erie but have lived in Buffalo for the last 15 years. I'm in my 10th year as a campus minister at Canisius College and love crafting transformative educational experiences for my students that include service-immersion trips, retreats and prayers. My family includes my husband, Jerod, two feisty daughters, Mary and Clare, and two kitties, Martha and Meg.

Why are you an oblate?

I brought a group of students to the Mount for a week-long service-immersion experience and fell in love with dedicated charism of radical hospitality, stability, inclusive prayer and dedication to Erie. That spark fanned itself into a full flame when I was able to more formally join the community as an oblate.
