Member Neil Himber shared this about the group that visited the monastery earlier this month: Our group has been holding Friday morning house meetings for almost eleven years. We start with an update of local events, family prayer needs, etc., and move into national and world events in need of prayer. We then move to reading and discussing whatever book we are studying. We just finished Jesus' Alternative Plan: The Sermon on the Mount, by Fr. Richard Rohr. In the past we have read and discussed books by Fr. James Martin, Sister Joan Chittister, Sister Elizabeth Johnson, and others. On occasion several of us join with other local activists for public witness outside the Warren County courthouse. We visit the monastery to join in communal prayer with the sisters when we can.
