The St. Benedict Academy Class of 1979 celebrated their 45th reunion in Erie on June 30.
Twenty-one classmates gathered to celebrate each other as they reminisced about their years at SBA and caught up on each other's lives. Classmates came from Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, and Cleveland to join those who are local.
Everyone enjoyed looking through a time capsule that was put together in their 9th grade Social Studies class. One classmate won a basket filled with Erie-made goodies. After the reunion at Calamari's in Erie, some attended the “Where Hope Is: Stories of Benedictine Influence” production at the Blasco Library.
Classmate Jane Wagner is director of Emmaus Ministries' Kids Cafe in Erie and she offered tours of Kids Cafe to those who were able to join her.
