Standing up for truth

More than 10,000 people have viewed the press release posted by the Benedictine Sisters after they were accused of voter fraud. A canvasser reported that 53 voters were registered at the monastery's address and "no one lives there." The report was posted on X along with a list of the sisters, violating their privacy. The X post has been viewed more than 2.7 million times and received more than a thousand comments. National and local news organizations have followed the story with news crews from CNN Philadelphia, ABC News Washington DC, Erie News Now, and Jet 24 visiting the monastery to talk with the sisters about their stand for truth. Reporters from the Washington Post, National Catholic Reporter, Erie Times News, Huffington Post, and others conducted interviews. A web search on "Benedictine Sisters accused of voter fraud" will pull up the news reports.

Above, sisters and oblates, gathered at the monastery for their annual October community meeting, watched the news report on CNN's Erin Burnett show on Friday evening after dinner.
