The Women Religious Archive Collaborative (WRAC) created featured Sister Mary Lou Kownacki in a short video they recently produced, Women of Hope, Stories of Inspirational Catholic Sisters. Click here to access the video; Mary Lou's tribute begins at 5:22.
WRAC partnered with Catholic Charities of Cleveland and the Sisters ofCharity Foundation to host the People of Hope museum in Cleveland. The WRAC website notes, "For centuries, Catholic sisters have brought hope to life through service — educating children, caring for the sick, welcoming immigrants, feeding families, advocating for justice, and protecting God’s creation. Every ministry, every act of compassion, every community served is a reminder that hope is not passive — hope is built through service. We’d like to highlight some of the women of hope whose commitment to service has improved the lives of others and whose stories continue to inspire others."
The Benedictine Sisters of Erie are part of WRAC.
