Sister Elizabeth Oettel, Associate Director of Religious Education for the Diocese of Erie (Eastern Vicariate), is responsible for the education, training and spiritual enrichment of parish religious education leaders and catechists. Her Master’s degree in religious studies has been put to good use in this present ministry as well as in her past ministries as coordinator of religious education in various parishes and religious education catechist. She offers a variety of theology classes as part of her ministry and also within the community to the women in initial monastic formation. In addition, she has had experience facilitating retreats and reflection days on building community, living community and prayer. She is available for retreat and reflection days, particularly in the area of sacramental theology.
