Centering Prayer 2025 Reservation

Centering Prayer: Introduction and Practice

SCROLL DOWN FOR REGISTRATION FORM
Join us at the monastery for an experience of Centering Prayer with an introduction and short session led by Mary Dwyer and Juan Llarena. Centering Prayer is a simple practice that invites us into our “inner room” where we can close the door

Tuesday, July 29 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
in the Mount Saint Benedict Monastery Chapel
Everyone is invited, no previous experience necessary. There is no registration fee, but we request an RSVP using the form below.

Mary Dwyer is a long-time student of Thomas Keating, an American Trappist monk who contributed to the development and popularity of Centering Prayer. He was a founding member of Contemplative Outreach; Keating died in 2018. Mary met Juan when she went to Miami to present for Contemplative Outreach. They married in 2009 and when Juan retired in 2018 they relocated back to Erie. Juan is a commissioned Centering Prayer presenter and facilitates the centering prayer group at the Cathedral of St. Paul Thursday evenings.
