Overview

For over 50 years, the Benedictine Sisters of Erie have been sharing the quiet, beauty, and peacefulness of their monastery, located on beautiful lakefront grounds in Harborcreek, with guests seeking a place to reflect, refresh, rejuvenate, and enhance their spiritual life.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we invite you to come for a visit.  Whether you spend some prayerful time in our chapel, walk our beautiful grounds, or converse with our sisters and guests, the hospitality for which we are well known will surely nourish your soul.

Our retreats and spiritual programs offer a space for contemplation, reflection, and time with God, to sustain you long after your visit.

Private Retreats at the Mount
Spend personal time at the monastery, or in one of the hermitages or cabins on the grounds. Meet with a sister for spiritual direction, or enjoy a self-directed retreat.  Click for further information on our guest accommodation and spiritual direction opportunities.

Stillpoint Retreats
Stillpoint Contemplative Sitting retreats are offered monthly through Mount St. Benedict Monastery, at Glinodo, from 9:15am - 1:00pm. Initiated by Sister Jean Lavin in the early 80s, and based in Christian and Buddhist contemplative traditions, Stillpoint retreats are open and accessible to those of all faiths and spiritual traditions.
